Hauptbahnhof is in the city center. About twelve minutes’ walk away, the Reichstag dome puts you on a public walkway above a working parliament. Entry is free if you book before you go.

Keep the first evening free. Berlin is a night city more than a morning one, and since 2024 its techno culture has been on Germany’s national inventory of intangible cultural heritage.
