Berlin has no single central terminus. Rail arrival is spread across six separate stations, so check which one your ticket names before you board. Aim for Hauptbahnhof when you have the choice.

December gets under fifty hours of sunshine. June, July and August each get more than two hundred. If you come in the dark months, come for the markets, over one hundred of them.
